NEW DAY - It was cloudy and rainy this morning. NOW the sun is shinning bright. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. Rained ALOT the past couple of days. Nice to see Sunshine again. Although we REALLY REALLY REALLY NEEDED THE RAIN. We could use more since we are still below normal rain fall here. The lakes are still down and need more rain.

NEW CREATIONS - Well, I'm still working on my new creations. Thought I would finish one at a time BUT NOT ME!!! I HAVE to work on several things at a time.   Hopefully I'll have one finished soon and show a picture. I have my Valentine Swap Partners creations finished and almost ready to mail out. MMMMMMM! I still have time before I have to mail it out SOOoooooooo! who knows I might have to add something else if it tells me to. You know that little or I should say that BIG VOICE in our Creative Heads?????? Well, it's talking to me. LOL LOL!!

I have to LAUGH because some people that read this might think I'm (we) are nuts. ROFL ROFL!!!
OUR CREATIVE MINDS WORK ALIKE!! I'M SURE!!

FRIEND FROM OUT OF TOWN - We have a friend from out of town that is visiting with his family. My hubby is going to pick him up and spend the day out and then they both will come to our house and we will spend time here and go out to supper.  Wish his WIFE and GRANDSON had come with him. MISS THEM!!! Maybe next time. RIGHT MAURINE??????????? :-) LUV U

NO JURY DUTY!!!!

Went to the court house this morning. Sit with lots and lots of people waiting to hear if we had to sit on a jury. :-) Waited almost an hour and then the list of 20 was read of who was picked. I was sitting there saying to myself they picked me I know they did. BUT THEY DIDN'T!!! WOOOHOOO!!! They told all of us that was left, we could go home we don't have jury duty. We won't get another jury summons for 3 years. WOOOOHOOOO!!! Made me happy. I know someone has to sit on the jury but I'd rather not because I'm not sure I could say someone was guilty or not guilty. There's been to many guilty that got off and to many not guilty that had to go to jail. I know someone has to be on the jury and pass judgement on them. I really don't think I could because if I helped find someone guilty and years later found out they weren't guilty.....That would haunt me. I know it would. I know we are only human and I have way to many feeling about this. I'm glad I wasn't picked.

Now back to my dolls and other creations.

ALMOST FINISHED MY VALENTINES AND VALENTINE SWAP ITEMS.

I still have a few more Valentine swap items to finish and then I'm finished and ready to mail to my swap partner when she gets ready to mail. I'm in no hurry SO, NO PRESSURE CHRIS. :-)

I am working on some NEW CREATIONS that I'm really excited about. Will go out and get some more supplies that I DON'T HAVE THAT I NEED. One would think I would have what I need with all the supplies I have. ROFL ROFL!!! That's always the way; never have everything we need. :-)

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, MICHAEL'S, HOBBY LOBBY, JOANN'S AND BARNS & NOBLE HERE I COME TOMORROW. I KNOW Y'ALL WANT MY MONEY!! :-) AND I WANT TO GIVE IT TO YA!!!!. :-)

I still have to renew my doll magazines. BAD BAD BAD!! Just way to much has been going on around here plus hubby is sick with allergies. The specialist told him we live in #1 place for allergies. I sure HOPE NOT!!! Seems like it since we've been here. I know had lots of allergies when the cedar blows down here. I guess Las Vegas wasn't to bad BUT DID HAVE allergies there also. Can't get away from allergies no matter where you go. They follow us. LOL LOL!!!

SUNDAY & SHOPPING

Meet ETHAN my grandson. He's 4 and cute as a button and smart. He was eating when I took his picture. He had been swimming. He looks just like his daddy when his daddy was that age. I'll have to dig out some old pictures of his daddy at that age and post them together.

Later today we are going to the outdooor flea market. I don't think they call it flea market but not sure what the name of it is. I hope I can find an old large trunk to sit at the foot of our bed. Wish I had the ones that was in our family. Maybe I should quiz some of the older family members and see if they know what happened to them. MMMMmmmmm! Good Thought. :-)

I'm still working on Valentine Swap stuff for my partner that Vivian is hosting. I thought I would have everything finished by last night BUT we went out yesterday and last night SO I didn't finish everything. I did stay up til midnight working on some things. Tomorrow I will finish everything. Then I will go back to working on the new dolls, patterns and art I've been working on.

HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13th!! I love Friday 13th and not scared of it at all. The number 13 is GOOD! and even better when it falls on Friday. NO BAD LUCK AT ALL! LUCKY NUMBER 13.

MY WEIGHT WATCHERS WEIGH IN DAY!!! THIS WEEK 1/11/2012

I went to my Weight Watchers meeting this morning. I have been BAD. I haven't been to a meeting in 3 weeks. I GAINED 2 POUNDS!! Not bad but NOT GOOD either. Sooooooooo now I get back on track starting today. Next Wed. is weigh in and meeting day. I go once a week. One would think with all the moving and packing and unpacking I have done in the past almost a year now I would have dropped lots of pounds. MMMMMMMM! Seems I can't keep my hands off the M&M's, POTATO CHIPS and other SWEETS!! OH! and the YUMMY FOODS, EATING OUT is bad sometimes.    BUT TODAY I HAVE MADE MY MIND UP......I'M GOING TO STICK TO LOOSING MY WEIGHT AND REACH MY GOAL!!! It'll take awhile but it will be worth it health wise and I can fit into some smaller clothing that is hanging in my closet. :-)

I'M OFF TO A GOOD START AND AM GOING TO STICK TO IT!!! I WILL POST EACH WEEK WHAT I LOOSE. I DON'T PLAN ON GAINING!!!!!     Starting TODAY------I HAVE 25 lbs to loose.

ROSES

These are roses from my rose bushes in Las Vegas THAT I LEFT BEHIND!! I was looking through some pictures and there they were. :-) :-( I really really loved all my rose bushes in Las Vegas. Well, I have NONE in our yard here in Wylie, Texas. BUT we are going to plant lots of ROSE BUSHES in a couple of months. I sure hope they are as big and pretty as the ones we had in Las Vegas. They were really large and beautiful. Really had wonderful scents. ONLY TIME WILL TELL. Hope we still have that green thumb we had in Las Vegas. LOL LOL!!! Found the picture and it brought back lots of wonderful memories of all the beautiful scents of my rose bushes. Hope whom ever has them now are taking care of them like we did. :-)

THE "NO ONION" ORAMENT IS FROM MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW JOLEEN. She saw it at What A Burger and asked the manager if he had anymore of them. She wanted to give one to her Mother-In-Law who is allergic to Onions. He gave her one of the NO ONIONS orament to give to me. LOL LOL!!! She had it in a gift bag with a bow on it. She said, this is an early Christmas present and you have to open it now. I did and we laughed and laughed. Joleen is such a SWEET DAUGHTER-IN-LAW!! So it's hanging on my tree. :-) I'll treasure the NO ONIONS orament she gave me. :-)

Will take pictures of rest of the house later on. Our House is laid out different than our other house was. It's kinda weird to me but I'm used to it now. Kitchen/Breakfast Room/Living Room are all open.
The Front Entrance is the Dinning Room and there's a room off to the right when you come in the front door that is Ken's Office with French Doors. Long Hallway from Front Entrance/Dinning Room OPENS UP INT THE Kitchen/Breakfast/Living Room areas. NO PICTURES YET of Hallway to Bathroom/Studio 1/Studio 2/Guest Bedroom. I used the other bedrooms for my 2 Studios. The Master Bedroom & Master Bath is off the Long Hallway in Front of the house. Master Bedroom has a BIG Walk In Closet. Could make another room out of it. LOL! Really it could be turned into a little bedroom for one kid if needed. BUT then there wouldn't be a closet to hang your clothes. LOL LOL!! And we don't have any kids that small anymore. :-) They are all grown and have families of their own.
OH! and we have a laundry room off of the kitchen. You can go from the laundry to the garage. Have an attached covered patio in the back of the house. Off from the livingroom area.

Seems I have a gmail addy and don't know why or how to change it. I've tried several time to get rid of that email addy. It shows up on top of the screen as I type here in Posting. I've gone to my account several times and changed it but it won't let me. I don't even get mail on gmail. I guess it's OK for now at least I can post to some blogs now. Perhaps I have to have gmail for Blogger.????????

"MIRELA RENAISSANCE GYPSY TAROT CARD READER" Judges Choice Award PLUS MY NEW ART DOLLS

WOOOHOOO!!! My doll Mirela Renaissance Gypsy Tarot Card Reader won a Judges Choice Award at the Houston Quilt Show. I'm THRILLED!!! HAPPY!!!! You can't see the front of her Tarot cards but they are pictures of real old tarot cards Gypsy's used. I made them smaller to fit her hands. The chair is hand made by me using wire and fabric torn in strips. Her body is made of cloth. Her costume is made of fabrics from the Gypsy's fabric trim package along with some things from my own stash.
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON THE DRAWING BOARD FOR HER. THIS WILL BE A CLASS PROJECT.

There's Art Work on the back of each doll also. All Art Work is Free Hand drawn by me. The backs of each Art Doll is Free hand Drawn also. Each doll is made of cloth, painted with paints and free hand drawn with colored pens. Hair is Tibetan Lamb Mohair hand dyed my me. Blocks they are attached to were hand painted by me with acrylic paints, colored makers and alcohol inks

BEEN AWHILE

Well, it's been awhile since I posted. GOSH! Almost a month has passed by. Things do get in the way sometimes. So much to do trying to get doctors since we moved. Have a couple in place but need some others. BELEIVE ME I'M THANKFUL FOR DOCTORS BUT WHEN I HAVE TO FIND NEW ONES IT SCARES ME!! It's the not knowing how good they are, etc. Our insurance is good we can see any doctor. It's just knowing which ones. GOSH have to have several doctors ..........One for this and one for that and one for another thing. I WISH I COULD GO SEE MY DOCTORS BACK IN LAS VEGAS!! Well, at least 2 of them. Don't think I haven't thought about it. YES! I am a big baby when it comes to doctors. Don't like it at all but know I have to go sometimes. I could go spend time with our daughter in Las Vegas and see the two doctors that I really trust and like. BUT hubby might not go for that one. LOL LOL!!! You know the feeling of being comfortable with doctors. Gone to one doctor here Primary doctor. Had blood work done. Don't have to go back they will call me. Mmmmmmmm!!! Not used to that. Always went back to the doctor for results. Monday go to Breast doctor. I have all my films and ultrasound for them him her whatever. JUST HOPE they are as good or better as the one I had in Las Vegas. YES! I am making a wreck out of myself; arent' I????. I guess I DON'T LIKE CHANGES. After all I had my doctors in Las Vegas for 16 years. I will get used to the ones here. I guess I've just heard too many bad stories about doctors not doing the right treatments and right meds to people. My daughter in law gave me her doctors names. My hubby has his doctors already because he was in the hospital a few days after we moved here. I just kept putting it off.

OK OK enough on that subject!!! SORRY! for going on and on. I will stop now. I could say lots more on this subject but I won't. I will be a good girl and see the other doctors.

I do have several new dolls to show. I will take pictures of them tomorrow and post them on my blog and my facebook.
I did a pin doll swap on DollStreet and I got my pin dolls from Dru Esslinger, Gloriana Nickolis and Beth. They are wonderful. Will take pics of the pin dolls also. Each of them are WONDERFUL!!!

I guess I will stop talking now and go to bed. It's almost midnight. MMMMMMMM! wonderful if I will turn into a Princess at midnight. ROFL!!! Don't I wish!!

THIS & THAT

I haven't posted in awhile. Been busy with This & That as usual. I'm working on dolls, etc etc. for an up coming craft show this month. I have several Art Dolls made. Working on Fancy Lady Brooches and other items for the show.

We moved furniture out of our living room and 2 of our sons came over this morning to help us put the hardwood flooring in. It looks great. I'm so glad the carpet is gone. I don't like carpet. I love my hardwood flooring. It's the same flooring that they put in my studios. Easy to maintain and it looks wonderful. Wish I could talk hubby into putting the same flooring in our bedroom and guest bedroom. Maybe someday. LOL LOL!!! He likes and wants carpet in the bedrooms. UGH!! That's OK, I'll let him have his way. Hehehehehe!! I'll keep working on him to change his mind. :-)

Will take pictures tomorrow and post them to my blog and/or facebook and my picturetrail. As soon as I put them in my computer and crop them, I will then post them. Not sure if they will get on my blog, facebook and picturetrail tomorrow. If not, the next day. I WILL DO MY BEST TO POST THEM BY MONDAY. Fingers Crossed. :-)

Hope all are having a good fun weekend. So far it's been nice. I love my new flooring in my living room. Well, hubby has to put the trim around and put the furniture back where it belongs. Then it will be finished.

Just a couple more things to be done to the house and then hopefully we are finished. Seems like we have been working on this house forever. I'm tried and I want it all finished so I can RELAX!! Like I know what that word is.........RELAX??????? ME??????? Not in my vocabulary. LOL LOL!!

I guess I better get off the computer and get ready to go to our daughter in laws parents house for supper this evening. Got lots to do around here before we have to go out.

DOLLS & OTHER THINGS

I'm still working on my Gypsy doll for the Gypsy Challenge. Will finish her today. My Celebration of dolls is finished and has been. Have to get them in the mail.

I will be starting on another new Art Doll. I have the doll drawn in my sketch book already. I did that yesterday while watching TV. LOL LOL!! The Doll YELLS at me no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I have to put her/him or whatever on paper if possible. Sometimes they come out of the head as I am creating them. Watching TV or whatever or wherever I am. No rhyme or reason to when or what my dolls or art wants to be. I guess one would say my dolls & art pieces control me. LOL!   Yes, some do control what they want to be as I work on them. I'm sure you know what I mean. They pop into my head and I try to write them down on paper BUT sometimes I don't have paper and pencil. I usually carry a pad and pencil with me BUT sometimes I don't. Usually I remember this doll or art piece AND if I don't they come back to let me know from time to time. LOL!! MY NEW ART DOLL "BLU ROSE"

"BLU ROSE" IS MY NEW ART DOLL I DESIGNED AND CREATED.
I have full view pictures of front and back BUT when I download them into my blog they come over side ways. I haven't figured that one out yet. I'll keep working on that and hopefully I can show you the Full View Of "BLU ROSE" FOR NOW AT LEAST YOU CAN SEE HER TOP HALF. :-)

Here's A New Doll That I Just Finished

"THE COLORFUL KEEPER" NEW DOLL I JUST FINISHED.

Her torso is made of cloth with a small tin inside her torso. The inside of her tiny tin is covered with orange tin foil that holds pieces of dried moss, feather, ribbon and trims. Front is covered with a piece made of stick pieces, tiny trims, tiny ribbons, flower with Swaroski crystal. Her hair is created with all kinds of fancy yarns, feather, ribbons and pieces of fancy fabrics. Her skirt is made from my hand dyed lace embellished with rose buds made of ribbons and tiny micro marbles. Her face is made from paper clay. I made this face a couple of years ago. It's a weird shape head. Top of the head is long and curves (can't see it for the hair). I was going to use this face for ghost and probably still will on a ghost or whatever. :-) Weird face turned out to look kinda pretty. GOSH! I have to do something NOT PRETTY! My cat "KAT" wanted me to post a picture of him. :-) He said, I haven't shown y'all a picture of him lately. LOL!! OOOOOOO! He is a big boy. He's got pretty green eyes AND yellow eyes. They change from time to time. Some times they are yellow/orange and sometimes they are green. Usually around Halloween his eyes are yellow/orange. He is one big SWEETIE! He has long fangs and he weighs 34 lbs. From the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail he is 33 inches. He's My Boy!!! He has BIG Paws to. He eats Iams diet cat food. He isn't feed alot. He gets a small dish of a morning and a small dish at night. Thinking about trying him on the new cat food called "BLUE" After all these years I don't know if he would like that or not. They say it's his nature to be a big cat no matter what he eats. I believe that. Couldn't ask for a sweeter cat.

I created 5 New Lil Fairies. I WAS having some problems with 3 of 5 pictures. Here you will see all of my 5 New Lil Fairies. Their faces aren't red like it's showing from my computer. Maybe they are ok on your computer. Just their cheeks have blush on them. I sculpted their little face and made myself a mold. All my New Lil Fairies will have the same lil face. I'm STILL LEARNING how to use my new computer and programs. :-)

PAINT FLOWERS ON BATHROOM WALL

I painted these flowers on our main bathroom wall. They match the shower curtain, towels and rug.

I tend to work on several things at one time. :-) I was working on Fairies and other stuff I'm getting ready for All Dolls Are Art Conference. I just had to stop working on the other stuff and paint this mural on the wall. I guess I should take a pic of the shower curtain and rug so you can see the whole bath. Not tonight. I'm going to bed as I have to get up early and start working on more stuff for All Dolls Are Art Conference. I leave next Wednesday. I have lots to do yet. The picture is a bit dark; the walls are an off white beige looking. Not this dark at all. I will see what I can do with the picture later.

I couldn't get into my blog to post because I forgot my password. I also couldn't post to any other blogs because I forgot my password. I found it written down in my notebook. Thank Goodness. I already changed it several times.

NOW! Why do I have to sign in with my google password when I want to leave a post on some other blog????? I didn't before. I guess I will have to go check out my settings. MMMMMMMmmmmm!

I've been working on getting all my patterns together for my sales table at ADAA Conference at the end of the month. Got lots of stuff to work on and get ready. Not much time left.

I THINK I FIXED MY BLOG PROBLEM

I think I fixed my blog problem. I have tried to get rid of my other blog account but it won't let me. I'll work on that later. I'm so Flustered with myself for messing everything up and taking so long to figure it all out. It wouldn't let me delete the 2nd account. I'll figure that one out later. I'll email google for help.

Got to go now. More later and hopefully pictures of some of the Fairies. SORRY about taking so long.

Hubby got home from Florida around midnight. Now he has to go to the doctor for his yearly blood work and then go meet up with our son Kevin. When he get home (don't know how long that will be) He is going to help me with the Kodak Picture Program. At this point I think I'm going to try downloading the pictures into my computer which has HP Photo Program. AGAIN I might mess that up to. I don't know why I'm so afraid of computers. Yes, I do know....It's because I mess things up and takes forever to fix it. I know I know...Everything will work out but just will take longer to get there. LOL LOL Better Laugh Than Cry. :-)

I THINK I MESSED UP

I really think I messed up when I changed the look of my Blog. I like the look BUT I have 2 accounts and forgot my passwords. Now I finally got this one back. Don't care about the other one because I never use it. BUT it took me forever to get back on this one. SEE I TOLD YOU I'M BAD WHEN IT COMES TO DOING STUFF ON COMPUTERS.   GOT TO WATCH ME AT ALL TIMES. Now this is why I need my son and/or hubby to be here when I mess up. LOL LOL!!

Not putting Kodak in after this mess up. Hubby will be home and I will ask him what to do now that I have the Kodak disk. Not sure if I'm supposed to even use the Kodak disk.

I will learn how to use this new computer yet!! YES I WILL! It has lots of good programs in it. Now I have to learn how to use it also. MMMMMmmmmmmm!!   Sounds like I need a class in how to use my computer and programs.     WOOOOHOOOO!!! My hubby just called and his plane landed and he will be home soon. I know he won't want to work on my computer tonight BUT tomorrow I HOPE or tomorrow Night one.

Poor Lil Fairies will have another photo shoot tomorrow. Well, some of them will. Already have picture of most of them. I have a couple that need props. I'll finish them up tomorrow. I think I won't make 12 Lil Fairies at one time again. BUT I really need 12 for now. I have one that is colors of a Peacock and I want to keep her BUT she told me NO she wanted to be sold. Soooooooo guess I will make another one for myself.     Well, it's getting late and my mind is going wild. LOL LOL!!! I have so many dolls flowing around in my head. It's been way to long since I created and now that I started creating again; dolls are over flowing in my brain.

I HOPE to have pictures up tomorrow or tomorrow night. NO PROMISE THOUGH!!! After the photo program is in and I know how to use it again.......then I can promise photos and not worry that I can't get them on.

FAIRIES-SHOPPING, ETC

I have Fairies finished except for their props to sit on. Well, some of the Fairies have props already and are finished. Have pictures and have pictures to take when all are finished. I'm going to download Kodak program into my computer this evening and HOPE I DO IT RIGHT!!! I probably should wait until tomorrow when hubby is home. He will be home way late tonight as he had to go to Florida for a few days.

Have to go out and mail Birthday cards to my daughters Angela and Brandi and my son in law Jason. Their Birthdays are July 5, 9, & 10th. My son Kevin's Birthday is July 24. He lives here so I don't have to mail his card. This will be the first time in years that we actually get to spend his Birthday with him. July is a busy Birthday month. My Mama and Daddy (God Rest Their Souls. They have been gone for years and I miss them very much). Their Birthdays are in July also. Soooooooo! July is a big month for Birthdays in my family.

Got to do some shopping while out. I have to find Doll magazines. I need them. I haven't renewed any of my doll magazine subscriptions yet. They all ran out when I moved. Now that was luck on my part. I got all my magazines BUT haven't renewed them yet. I have to do that this evening. Going to Michael's and hope they have them. Looked in the book store over the weekend and they didn't have any doll magazines!! WAS I EVER UPSET. hehehehehe!!!! I just had to look at older magazines I have. I never get tried of looking at them over and over.

FAIRIES

Well, I worked all day on my little Fairies. They are almost finished. I counted them and I'm missing #12 Fairy; she must have flown away or hiding one. LOL!!! I'll find her or remake her.

I sculpted a tiny head yesterday. It measures 5/8 inch. It's tiny. I used a doll needle to sculpt some of her face features along with sculpting tools and my fingers. It was a challenge but fun. My hubby Ken was amazed at the tiny size. LOL LOL I was going to make a mold of it BUT my mold making stuff wasn't good. It would harden. Too old I guess. Have to order more.

Just wanted to let Y'ALL know how the Little Fairies were coming along. Taking longer than I thought but that's NOTHING NEW!!

PROGRESS ON MY LITTLE FAIRIES
4 Little Fairies are completed. HURRAY!! Had family time yesterday so didn't do much work on Fairies. Kids and Grands came over. We all had a great time together. Really enjoy spending time with our children and grands. Wish all our kids and grands lived here. :-)

My little Fairies are getting their heads on today. WOOOHOOO!! Got a few more to sculpt, paint and attach; then I'm finished. Therefore I can then move on to making some other dolls.

JUST A POST

This is just another post. We got back 1 A.M. Tuesday morning from PA. We had a wonderful fun time with all our family. My GOODNESS the grands have really grown in 2 years or is it 3years since we saw them. Their parents look the same they didn't get bigger or taller, WELLLLLLL!! Maybe a little bigger ROFL!! Hope they aren't reading this. ROFL!!! OH! and a little older. That makes me a little older ALSO!! :-(    :-)   I might be older but I still feel and think young. :-)

I've been working on lots of stuff since I got home. I'm working on a dozen Fairies. Going to start sculpting their little heads this evening and finish them tomorrow if I don't finish them tonight. Will finish all the little Fairies tomorrow even if I have to work late into the night. Something I haven't done in awhile.

I haven't forgot about posting pictures ................ Still working on that one. Son has been out of town alot and hubby has been busy SOOOOOOOoooooooooo! will wait a little longer. Hope son can come over this weekend and show me more about my new computer and programs. I'm not to Bright when it come to computers. I'm always afaird I will do something wrong and have problems then. So, I don't hit buttons. :-)

Going Away/Computer/Pictures

I am going away for several days. Going to PA to see our Granddaughter Brittany graduate. OH! MY! It seems like it was only yesterday she was a baby. Now 18 and going away to college. We are PROUD of her. She belongs to the Fire Dept., Recue Diving, Life Guard and she has a job where she lives in PA. She will be going off to college in Aug. Will get lots of Hugs & Kisses from her, some of our other grand kids and some of our kids. It will be so nice to see them. It's been a couple of years since we saw some of them. REALLY REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF THEM.

My new computer has problems.....it's so slow and it never was. Don't know what is wrong with it. When Ken comes home this evening I'll have him check and see what is going on.

I TRIED TO POST SOME PICTURES TODAY ON MY COMPUTER BUT NO GO!! Computer is to slow for some reason. I just hope this will come through. I think it will but won't bet on it. :-)

I probably won't be on a computer in PA but might get to get on one. Will see.

FAIRIES/PICTURES/ETC

Sorry about not having any pictures posted yet. I have them in my camera waiting to go into a program in my computer. Hopefully but not holding my breath I'll get some up soon. MAYBE and that is a BIG word right now. Sometimes I feel helpless when it comes to programs on computers; especially trying to figure out my photo program. I'm going to try and download them from the camera to the computer and see where they go. :-) I might be SORRY BUT I MIGHT NOT EITHER. Hehehehe! Better laugh than cry.

Enough of my whinning. Later is Better Than Never. BESIDES I have been creating Fairies in Studio 2(that's what I call it and the other one I call Studio 1) Maybe I will get creative and name my 2 studios. YEAH! I think that would be good. Thinking Cap is on.

:-) My new Fairies are really cute even if I do say so myself. I am working on 12 Fairies (mmmmm that's a dozen; sounds like cupcakes to me. :-) Yum Yum!! Maybe they are or maybe some are Cupcake Fairies and others are cute fairies. Now I'm hungry for a cupcake. Vivian, I'm thinking how good your cupcakes look right now. :-)

OH HAPPY DAYS!! REALLY MONTHS!!! Studios are done and ready for me to start creating. WOOHOO!! I can't wait to get started. I think I will create something tomorrow or at least get started on something. I really have the need to create a doll.

Will take pictures of studios tomorrow and see if I remember how to post them. Got a new computer and not sure how the picture program works. It's no Kodak; which I had in my other computer. Camera batteries are charged and ready to take pictures.

Got my file cabinet this evening. Been putting folders, etc in it. I still have some folders, etc to put in it but not a big deal.

I have to go out this morning but soon as I get back this afternoon, I WILL FINISH SETTING UP MY STUDIOS. I WILL!! Not much to do now. Just a few things to put away and move all my paper files into my file cabinet. (I have to do that tomorrow because the file cabinet won't be here until then or Saturday). That's OK, I will put them in the closet in the guess room until then. That's where the file cabinet is going; in the closet in the guess room. Still room for guess to put their clothes. LOL!

Got to go for now. Have to leave in a couple of hours. Will post pictures in the next day or so of my Studios.

ANOTHER DAY 2011

WOW! seems like the days are going by so fast. 6 months has gone by as of tomorrow. WOW!! half of 2011 gone right by me. I know I have done a lot this year and still have lots to do.

My studios are almost finished and I will be creating new dolls again soon. WOOOHOOO!!! Still have things to do in the house. We have to stain kitchen cabinets, put in new counter tops and a new double sink. Living room, we want to take the carpet out and put hardwood flooring in and a wooden fireplace mantel. It already has tile facing and hearth. Maybe we will paint some more walls but not sure about that. The off white works right now. Might add colorful borders to the guest room or wallpaper on one wall or paint it colors. Not sure yet. I LOVE COLOR! Don't care for white or off white walls. See where I'm going, don't ya? LOLDo you see my head spinning? hehehe!! GEEEZZZZZ!! I keep thinking and I could be working on this house for another 6 months or longer. Brain has to shut off but won't. LOL LOL!!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO EVERYONE!! THANKS, LOVE & PRAYERS TO ALL OUR MILITARY WHOM ARE KEEPING US & OUR WORLD SAFE AND WHOM FOUGHT IN ALL OUR WARS. MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL AND THEIR FAMILIES. I met a young man while at AFIC and he was home on leave BUT was going back oversea for another tour. He was proud and happy to go back so he could help keep all of us safe so all of us could keep doing what we do. My heart goes out to him and all of our military people.

Hope all had a Happy Memorial Day. We did, we went to one of our son's house for a Bar-B-Q yesterday because he had to go out of town on business this morning. Everyone had a great time.
Fun day with the kids, grandkids and friends.

Up Date On My Studio & House: We ALMOST have my studios and house sit up and ready to start creating again. Well, my studios are just about finished. We still have some things to do to the house, like put hardwood flooring in the living room, stain the kitchen cabinets, put new counter tops in, new kitchen double sink and then we will be finished. WOOOHOOO!! Of course it's going to take a couple of months or so to do all that. Then we can sit back an enjoy it all. Maybe by Christmas it will all be finished. LOL LOL!!!

NEW WORK - LIFE - OTHER STUFF

I'm posting again. :-) YEAH! STILL No pictures yet because I haven't had time to take any nor have I had time to figure out what program I have for pictures in my new computer. I hope to figure that out tonight when my hubby gets home. SHHhhhhhh! I kinda wish I hadn't asked Santa for a new computer last Christmas. I really was used to my old computer and knew exactly how it worked. I suppose I will learn to love this new computer after I figure it all out. Of Course I Will :-)

Life is good but busy with the new house (well it's not new new; it has been lived in by others before BUT it's new to us and it's all ours, payments and all LOL LOL!).
Getting all our stuff unpacked and a place to put it PLUS having to buy new curtains, furniture, etc. We are almost finished unpacking stuff EXCEPT for my studios. YEAH! I have 2 studios. 2 room side by side. I REALLY REALLY MISS MY BIG STUDIO I HAD IN OUR LAS VEGAS HOUSE. (Oh! speaking of our Las Vegas house; we rented it to someone HURRAY!!! that's a load off the minds).  Got some stuff set up in one studio. Got lots and lots of boxes full of supplies, dolls, etc etc in the other studio room. OH! and I can't forget about all the other boxes full of supplies, etc in the guest bedroom. It's piled high also. Just a little path to get inside the doors. LOL LOL!!   I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF!! My son made me bring everything. He helped pack and move us. He lives out here in Texas. We have 2 sons and families that live 5 minutes away. It's nice seeing them alot more. Now if we could only get the other 6 kids and families to move out here. Wouldn't it be nice to have all your family in one town like it used to be???
I know I for one would be THRILLED AND LOVE IT!!   Well, a Mother can Dream. :-)

I must get off of here, go feed the cat, get dressed (still in pj's and housecoat), get to working on stuff for AFIC 2001. I leave in 5 days and still have lots to do. Have to finish my new patterns and other things.
I'm excited about teaching Delphine Rose class and Flutter Rose class. I must have liked Rose when I designed these 2 doll classes. LOL LOL !!!    Mmmmmm! I actually do like roses alot.

Well, I am getting off the computer now and going to go get my work clothes on and get to work in my studio. Wish I had pictures to post.   SOON, ONE CAN ONLY HOPE!!

One more thing before I get off here. We hardly ever had storms in Las Vegas BUT OUT HERE WE HAVE HAD LOTS OF REALLY BAD STORMS (Yes Tornado's around and Tornado watches) AND I DON'T LIKE THEM!! I suppose we will get used to them. NOT!!!

NEED TO DO SOME CHANGES

I have to do some changes since I have moved to Texas. I lost my Cox email address SO now I have a new email address dollartistfran@yahoo.com BUT I also have other groups,etc I am/WAS on with my old Cox email. I have lost all of them and will have to sit down WHEN I have enough time to do so. LOL I can't even post on my groups because of the old email address is no good. MMMMMMMM!! Will take a few long deep breaths and go for it in the next day or so.

Hubby was in the hospital a few days and he's home doing fine. Just needs to rest some. Goes back to the doctor on Monday. Nothing life threatening. It could have been but thank goodness found out what the problem was and fixed it. He is feeling much better today. We went out do take care of a few things.

Moving is a BIG BIG BIG JOB!!! GOSH! it really takes lot of time to move from one place to another ALONG with unexpected stuff beon your control to pop up during it. It really could be worst, I'm complaining BUT not complaining also. I don't know when I ever had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH on my shoulders at one time. Maybe I feel that way because I'm getting older. :-) It will all work out, the good Lord won't put anymore on us than we can stand. At least it really isn't as bad as things could be. I'm THANKFUL for that. So now I go and work on everything that needs to get finished (which will take a long while) and do what I have to do. :-) Our two sons are coming over tomorrow to help with the Dinning Room table and chairs and put my TV stand together to hold the DVD/CD's TV boxes, etc for my Studio. Got lots more windows in this house so have to go buy some new curtains, etc. We have window blinds on all the windows so that's nice; no one can see in and then the curtains/drapes will just ad beauty to each room. :-)

I have to go now. Just wanted to let Y'All know what I'm up to and why I'm not on any of my lists, etc.

NEW HOME NEW EMAIL ADDY

My hubby and our cat Kat have moved to Texas as some of you know. NOPE everything isn't in it's place yet. LOL I think it is going to take quite awhile before everything is done and in it's place. I'm still painting walls. Way too much to do. Little by little it will get finished. RIGHT?????? LOL!!!

I also have a new email addy: dollartistfran@yahoo.com    My old email fransdollland@cox.net doesn't work anymore.   Here in Texas we don't have Cox TV, etc. Sooooooo, closed Cox TV account in Vegas and email addy went with it. OH! WELL!   Everything is working out.

Kat did loose 2 pounds on our move. I'm sure he will find it again since he is eating lots more now. He's my sweetie. His coat is so much shinier now. I think it much be the humidity here in Texas. Las Vegas had 0 humidity most of the time. We all dried out there. LOL!! I do miss Las Vegas, I miss our daughter Brandi and our grandson Cain and our friends. My eyes tear up when I think about them. I miss our other children also. They live in PA, NY, CT, NV & TX.   That's 5 different states they live in. We have 2 sons and 5 grand kids that live here in Texas.   Wish it was like it used to be when families lived in their hometowns. Life sure does change. Sometimes not for the better but that's life. Have to go with the flow. Life is Good!!! Will get to see most of them in June when we go to PA for our Granddaughter Brittany's graduation. GOSH! She's 18 and graduating from High School. My how time flies. I'm making her a mask for her Prom. And making one of her friend's a mask also. I'll have to take pics of them after I make them. OH GOSH! What box is my camera packed in.????? The girls will have to take pictures of themselves so I can see what they look like with their masks on.

I really shouldn't be on this computer BUT I'm so tried of working on/in this house. Not really but am tried of working on it right now. :-)   It's wearing me out. I need a break from it.

I got work to do for my classes, etc at AFIC 2011. http://artisticfiguresincloth.blogspot.com Now that will be fun and relaxing. I haven't created a doll in several months. I'm itching to make several new dolls. BUT FOR NOW I will work on patterns and press mold instructions for the 2 new dolls I made sometime ago that will debut at AFIC http://artisticfiguresincloth.blogspot.com
I will also be demonstrating how to use my new press molds and Resin Half Doll. Have to finish the patterns. Time is getting closer to time for AFIC 2011. Hope to see some of you there. I still have room in my classes for more students.

I guess I have been on here long enough. I have to go back to painting the master bedroom bathroom. Not wanting to but have to. LOL

I HAVE MOVED TO TEXAS

Hi Everyone,
As some of you know my husband and I have been going back and forth to Texas a lot this year. We bought a house in Texas and we closed on it and we just move into it. Lots and Lots of boxes all around in every room. It's going to take awhile to sit up everything. We have lots done but still have lots and lots to do.

My hubby sit my computer up. It finally got out of it's box since I got it for Christmas. It's up and running and I love it. Still have to add stuff to it.

I DO NOT WANT TO EVER HAVE TO MOVE AGAIN!!!! I THINK I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS. ROFL!!! NOT!!! BUT SURE DO FEEL LIKE IT!!! Not much sleep the last month or so. Way too much had to be done. Finding the house was a process and what an adventure it was. Found one house and love it. It was the PERFECT house. Few days before closing we got a call saying the sellers have a litigation against the house we can't close yet. They let us go into contract knowing there was a litigation on the house. The seller were forclosed on and the Realtor that had it listed didn't tell us. I suppose they were hoping it would get cleared up before closing. We didn't get that PERFECT house SOOOOOOOO! BACK TO SQUARE ONE!! Lots of trips were made during this time. Back to Texas to look at more houses. Found THIS ONE AND CLOSE IN A FEW WEEKS!!! YES went back to Vegas to pack up our house and move to TEXAS WOOOHOOO!!! Not THE PERFECT HOUSE BUT THE NEXT THING TO IT!!! We are happy with it and will be really really happy when it's all sit up and all boxes are empty. I have more black and blue and green marks on me. Packing, Moving and Unpacking is dangerous; at least it is for me. LOL LOL!!! OH! We will look back on these days and laugh about it. Just another adventure in our lives.

If it wasn't for all our adventures through out our lives it would be boring I suppose. Well, my house OOOPS! EYES are getting heavy. Think they are telling me it's time to go to bed. NIGHTY NIGHTY ALL!!

MOVING/CREATING/ETC.........

My life has been very busy for the past several months and longer. To make a long story short my hubby and I and our cat are moving to Texas. We have made several trips to Texas this year and it has taken alot of my creating time from me. :-(   BUT it will be worth it when we get moved in and our lives back on track.
As I type we are packing up the house.

I will have a lap top until I get my computer back online. WOOOHOOO!!!   Another Jounery begins this weekend. Of course it will take time to get the new house sit up, etc etc etc.

I will also be teaching at AFIC http://artisticfiguresincloth.blogspot.com/ this year. April, 29 - May 1
Can't wait. It's a FANTASTIC WONDERFUL CONFERENCE.   Hope to see some of you there.

I want to say a bit about my creations. I love creating dolls in all kinds of mediums. My dolls tell me what they want to be and therefore I create them how they want. :-) I know that sounds crazy but it's not, believe me it's not; just ask any dollmaker. LOL!! That's the fun part about creating;Not knowing how the doll is really going to turn out after you are finished. They change their mind through out the creating process. Yes, they do have a mind of their own even though it's coming from your own mind. Things do change in midstream. That's the fun of it all. I'm teaching Delphine Rose at AFIC also. She's a FUN doll for beginners to advance. Lots and Lots of FUN MAKING "Flutter Rose" and "Delphine Rose"

NOT TO WORRY, if you take my class at AFIC I will walk you right through it and you will love making your doll.

Ms. Peacock is a doll I have been working on since 2010. I had to stop and go on to other creations. She is almost finished. She now has skin color on her neck and chest area but NOT IN THIS PIC. I am trying to decide if I want to put arms/hands on her. I'm thinking very seriously about putting arms/hands on her. She will have to wait until sometime in March or April before she gets finished. Lots on my plate right now to work on her. Obligations have to come first. :-)

WOW! IT IS A NEW YEAR!!

WOW! is right ! IT IS A NEW YEAR and I'm behind on catching up with the New Year. I hope this doesn't indicate that I'm going to be behind all year. :-)   NOT!! I'm going to do my best to see that I don't get so far behind in this New Year 2011. :-)

I've been out of town alot and sick with sinus infections. It's been a week now and I'm still not myself. I'm on meds and staying home and getting lots of liquids and rest. Yes, I went to the doctor. :-)   I'm starting to feel like doing some things. CAN'T KEEP A DOLL MAKER DOWN FOR LONG!! I have lots of stuff I want and need to do. Lots going on in my life right now. Good stuff!

I wanted to let y'all know that I'm still here. I will tell more at a later date about what else is going on in my life. For now everything is good except having this awful sinus infection.

Hope your New Year is starting out wonderful. Mine started out wonderful except having sinus infection. Was in the Dallas area over a week ago when they had the below temps, ice and snow. It was COLD! and I do mean COLD! Was there during the Super Bowl but didn't go to it. Watched it on TV with the kids and friends. It was the COLDEST it had been in 20 years in Dallas. It had to wait for us to arrive to show us how cold it can get in Dallas area. LOL LOL!!! That's OK, I still LOVE TEXAS.

Well, it's Sunday and I got up early to take meds and eat breakfast. I curled up in the recliner and watched Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friends. Love the old movies. I guess it's because I used to watch them with my Mother when I was little. I still love watching the old movies.

My grandson Cain is sick and running a fever. Poor baby. He lives here in Vegas. Wish I could go see him but can't. Don't want what he has and I'm sure he doesn't want what I have (I don't think you can sinus infections. :-)   I have no fever but sure have felt ughy!! Feel better today and hope to feeling 100% after all meds are gone. I'm taking 4-500mg of Amoxicillina per day for 10 days! WOW! That's 2000mg a day. I should be well soon; You Think. LOL! Still have 6 days to go.

Going to stop rattling on and on and going to go back and watch old movies. :-)   Just wanted to let y'all know I'm still here.

I'm in Texas visiting 2 of our sons and families. We arrived here on Christmas Day. Had to work our Perfume Palace Shop through Christmas Eve. We are having a great time with the kids and grand kids.
Will be here until Jan. 2nd. Hadn't had a chance to get on a computer until this evening.

Hope all had a Very Merry Christmas. I wish all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I've been creating some more of my SnowPeople and my Fairy. I really want to make more but don't think I will have time. I have to work our Perfume Palace Shop everyday through Christmas starting Saturday. Hubby has been sick and still sick. Took him to the doctor this morning. Got more meds. I have been working at our perfume shop. I haven't had a chance to download pictures into my computer. Maybe tomorrow I will have some time. I don't have to work at our perfume shop because Shelia (she works for us) will be in tomorrow and Wed.

I have 3 more hours before I can close the shop. :-) Don't I sound like I wish the 3 hours would pass by fast? I do....Really I do. :-) It's a nice day today. In the 70's and a little windy. The nights drop down in the mid to high 40's.

HOME FROM VACATION & BIRTHDAY

We arrived home on Thursday night from our vacation cruise and Texas with some of our kids and grandkids. Hubby got sick and had to go to the ER when we left the cruise and arrived in Texas. He is doing good now but not 100% yet. He goes for a follow up with our doctor on Monday.

Now it's back to Everyday Life. I worked at our Perfume Shop yesterday. Today is my birthday. YES!! I'm 26 years old. OOOOOOO!!! Don't I wish!!! As long as my mind thinks I'm 26 years old I will be great!!! hehehehehe!!

We will have Birthday Cake this evening when family that live here comes over. My hubby puts ALL of my candles on my cake every year!! I insist on it. As long as I can blow all my candles out plus the 2 extra candles (1 to grew on and 1 for good luck) I will know I am in good shape. HAHAHAHA!!

Yes, I do have pictures from our cruise and Texas. Will download them into my computer tomorrow. Ken has pictures in his camera to download. Our kids took pictures also. I plan on posting some tomorrow. RIGHT! Don't HOLD ME TO IT!!! hehehehe! I will do my best to post some pictures tomorrow.

ART DOLL PLAY DAYS

ART DOLL PLAY DAYS and MY ART DOLL "CANDELEA"

I had a ART DOLL PLAY DAYS in my studio this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There were 5 of us and it was FUN!! No teacher, just playing and creating our Art Dolls. Each of us put a shoe box of stuff together and drew names to see who's box we get. Oh! great stuff in all the boxes. Some put their stuff in the middle of the table BUT I didn't. LOL LOL!!! I got Jean Bernard's box so I kept what was in mind. LOL!! Jean, Linda, Sandy, Diane and myself of course had more fun. We even took a night trip to Carol the ribbon lady. WOW! Carol's house is to die for. I love going to her house. All antiques in every room. Her house could be a museum. Then we went in her shop to purchase stuff! We always love going to Carol's to shop.

I didn't take pictures because batteries were dead as usual. Jean took pictures of all of our Art Dolls. She is going to send pictures and then will put them up. I did take a picture today of my finished Art Doll. Batteries are charged. I hate batteries!! Always have to charge them.

CANDELEA'S torso is an antique small lantern. The door opens to expose the candle. I made the candle out of paper clay, painted with blue paint, blue glitter and copper glitter. The lantern doors close and you can see the candle through the beautiful glass.

DOLLS FOR CELEBRATION OF THE DOLL 2010 & THE GYPSY CHALLENGE

Below you will see two dolls. These dolls will be at the Houston International Quilt Show in Houston, Texas this November. Wanda Fay Prescott Hanging Doll will be display in "Celebrations Of The Doll 2010" and Kizzy The Dancing Gypsy will be display in " The Gypsy Challenge 2010".

With all things that have kept me busy the past several months I didn't get much time to work on my gypsy doll. I wanted to do something else but my time was to short for what I wanted to design. I will save those doll thought for next years Gypsy challenge 2011 doll. I can't wait to see all the dolls. Hoffman and Sulky challenges are usually at the Houston International Quilt Show. It's been several years since I attended the show. I hope to go next year. It's a great show. The quilts are outstanding!! and so are the dolls!!

Can't forget to tell about all the wonderful shops with everything you can think of to create with. OH MY! One just has to go see for themselves.

I went to 2 or 3 in Reno but never got to go to the one in Iowa because it falls on my anniversary and Ken and I always go away for our anniversary. A FEW WORDS FROM ME-----UPDATE

Well as you can see I haven't posted since July 4th. Seems I'm aways busy doing other things these days. Each day goes by so fast and before I know it, another Month is here.

I am working on New Patterns. I'm working on putting them in print. It takes awhile to draft a pattern, write the instructions, draw diagrams, take pictures, proof read, etc etc. I'm going to put out WITCHY WITCH pattern first. I should put out a few other patterns (long over due) before "WITCHY WITCH" but she wants to be first AND YOU DON'T SAY NO TO "WITCHY WITCH" I will take pictures of her tomorrow and post her in all her glory. She's not a mean witch BUT she can be if she wants to be. You know the saying.....You can't tell a book by it's cover! Well, that's "WITCHY WITCH".

MISS PRISSY PINCUSHION & OTHER STUFF

" MISS PRISSY PINCUSHIONS"

I'm posting a pic of Miss Prissy Pincushion as she is a new but oldie creation of mine. I actually created her 5 years ago and didn't do anything with her until now. I decided to teach a mini class at EDAC so I thought of Miss Prissy Pincushion. Well, I now have 6 Miss Prissy Pincushions sitting on my work table looking at me as I type this. It's ok that I made so many Miss Prissy Pincushions because one is going to be given away at my mini class and I'll put the others on my sales table. I do have an Esty Shop but there's nothing for sale on it right now. I must start putting items on my Esty shop soon. I over extend myself all the time. I wouldn't know what to think if I didn't have lots of things going on at once. LOL! That's ME! and I think there's a lot of you out there that are just like me, RIGHT? LOL!

I'm publishing her PATTERN for sure (she already is in pattern form BUT not up for sale yet. AND I plan on selling her as KITS with all parts and instructions. This will take place probably in early AUG. or BEFORE AUG. MMMMMMMM!!! I'm having way too much fun creating lots of Miss Prissy Pincushions, patterns and Kits.

I did post her in a post before but didn't tell anyone about my post. Thought you would like to take a look at her/them. That's just 3 of them in the picture above. The other 3 didn't want their picture taken. LOL

I'm teaching a Mini Class at EDAC http://www.enchanteddollartistsconference.org/ in July. Below you will see the Mini Class I'm teaching. I had SOOOOOOOOOOO! MUCH FUN creating her. I could sit for hours making Miss Prissy Pincushions. I made 5 Miss Prissy Pincushions. After my Mini Class ends; One of my students will WIN "MISS PRISSY PINCUSHION" Miss Prissy Pincushion loves hanging out in my studio and watching me create more and more of her. :-)

MEET "MISS PRISSY PINCUSHION" I'm making up kits for my Miss Prissy Pincushion Mini Class. I also am getting lots of stuff together for my Sales Table at EDAC. Got lots and lots of work to do. Tha't another reason I'm so quite and haven't been posting much. (the other reason is....My SINUES are KILLING ME.) After EDAC is over and I'm back home; I will start on lots of new creations and old creations. :-) It's going to hit 102 degrees here today. It went from the 70 & 80 degrees to the100's. It skipped the 90's all together. !! THAT'S VEGAS!!

I really really HATE the HOT WEATHER HERE!! I stay in doors as much as possible. :-)

"JUST A NOTE" & HOBBY LOBBY

Wanted to say Hello to Everyone. I'm still around but just been really busy with creating new dolls/patterns, teaching doll classes in my studio, working at our Perfume Palace shop, running around with hubby, etc etc etc..... :-) Time REALLY DOES FLY BY!!! When we were little we couldn't wait to be grown up and now we wish were were little again. Time Goes By Fast!!!

I FORGOT the BEST NEWS!!! HOW COULD I FORGET IT!!! HOBBY LOBBY IS COMING TO VEGAS THIS YEAR!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG LOTS OF US HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR HOBBY LOBBY TO COME TO VEGAS?????? YEARS!!!! HOBBY LOBBY WILL BE LOCATED OFF SUNSET AND STEPHAINE IN HENDERSON. HENDERSON(Las Vegas area) IS ATTACHED TO VEGAS. :-) ONLY 20 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE OR LESS.
I HAD TO ADD THIS EXCITING NEWS!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!! I'M IN 7th HEAVEN!

INTERESTING DAY TODAY/MOTHER'S DAY

It's been a very interesting day in our shopping center today. #1 I've been really busy selling perfumes. That's a GREAT thing. #2 The nail shop had to call the paramedics for someone. #3 Somone sit fire to the bushes behind the shopping center. A couple of shops down from ours. The fire dept. came and put it out. Looks like it might have been a cigarette because the people in the shop where it was; goes outside to smoke and a big tall ash tray sits there. Glad it only burnt a couple of bushes. It's really close to the building. If anything else happened I don't know about it. Only reason I know about the other two happenings is because the people in the next shop to me came and told me. One more thing happened at the shop. It's good. FedEx delivered me a box and it had 2 Orchids in pots. My daughter Nicole and family sent them to me. One plant is opening up and it's yellow. The other one I don't know what color it will be, they aren't open yet. I LOVE Orchids. I have a baby vanilla one at home.

SOON it will be time to close up and go home. Then I have to go to the airport and pick my hubby up. Got to clean up the shop before closing.

My daughter Brandi, her hubby Jason and Cain our grandson are coming over for Breakfast on Mother's Day. They are going to make me Breakfast. Ken is taking me out for supper. MMMMM! Lots of good food and I'm on a diet. LOL LOL!!!

PICTURES OF MY DARK SIDE

These are pictures of the chair class I took with Jean Bernard when she was here teaching at our doll club.

REMEMBER when you look at this creation I usually do PRETTY!! Well, this time I did not do pretty. No matter what I did I couldn't do pretty. It didn't want to be a pretty chair. I really don't call it a chair now. It doesn't have a seat to sit on. :-)

My Creation isn't finished! I have lots more to do to it. It's going to be sitting on a board with sand, other bones, dried tree limbs and lots of other fun stuff. Right now I'm calling it My Dark Side but not sure what the real name of this creation will be. I'm sure it will tell me. :-)
YES! I had a lot of fun creating this piece. Jean was thrilled to see the dark side come out of me. LOL LOL!!! She knows me all to well-------I Do PRETTY!!! The other girls were shocked that I created a Dark piece. They know me all to well also. I Do PRETTY!! :-) I was shocked at myself but sure did love creating this piece and can't wait to totally finish it. My grandson Cain loves it and can't wait for me to finish it. I think I'm going to give it to him. He has a Birthday coming up in June. :-)

REMEMBER DARK SIDE IS NOT FINISHED YET!!! I WILL POST NEW PICTURES WHEN I FINISH DARK SIDE.

HELLO!! OUT THERE!!!

Hello. I know I know....I've been MIA Yet Again!! Our doll club had Jean Bernard last weekend teaching 3 wonderful fun days. I have not taken a picture of my so call chair(when you see it you will know). Well, it was going to be a PRETTY chair but IT JUST DIDN'T WANT TO BE PRETTY!! No matter how hard I tried to make it pretty in the beginning; It just wasn't going to happen!! I came out of my BOX and I DO MEAN REALLY GOT OUT OF THE BOX!! LOL!! BUT, I really had fun making this chair. It isn't totally finished yet. Maybe I'll show it in progress. I have to get batteries for my camera this evening. Hopefully Radio Shack will have the batteries I need. If I use plain batteries it will hurt my camera. Go figure??? Don't really understand that one but that's what the instructions to my camera says. The batteries my camera takes are Ni-MH.

I will take a picture in progress and post it this evening if I can find these Ni-MH batteries at Radio Shack.

And I wanted to say Hello to Everyone. I miss going to your blogs. I'll play catch up (if there's such a thing) later.

GOING TO TAKE A CLASS FOR 3 DAYS

Jean Bernard is teaching her chair and pincushion classes for the next 3 days to our doll club.
Jean is a FANTASTIC teacher and a good friend. Her work is WONDERFUL!

HAPPY WEEKEND!!

HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALL!! I spent from 10A.M.- 2 P.M. at our doll club. I taught this months project. I taught them how to make hands with fingers. It was fun and everyone had a good time. After the meeting several of us met at Starbucks and talked and laughed. After that I went to Nancy's Quilt Shop and bought some yummy fabrics to add to my stash!! YES! I HAD TO HAVE MORE FABRIC! LOL!! I really did need one piece I bought BUT I had to have more. :-) Got some of it on sale. So, that's good. :-)

The past few days I have been working on a new doll. I will post her picture when I finish her. Probably not until Tuesday evening or Wednesday. Ken and I are going away for a couple of days. His sister and her hubby(my SIL & BIL) are going with us. Won't be home until Tuesday sometime. I guess it's nice to get out of Vegas for a couple of days. SHHHHH!!! don't tell anyone but I wish we were going to Texas. :-) We are going to Laughlin, NV and Bullshead, AZ. Hotter there than here. That I don't like. Yes, there's Casinos in Laughlin. I'm taking doll stuff and doll books while there. We won't spend all our time in the Casino, we never do. I'm not giving them my money!!! I WANT THEIR MONEY!!! LOL We will go to Oatman which is an old old old town. It has neat stuff there. The donkies rome the streets and you feed them carrots. There's one shop that has THE BEST ICE CREAM CONES!! I've been good on my diet this week. I lost 3 lbs. NOPE I WON'T PUT IT BACK ON. I won't eat any ice cream cones. :-)

Guess I better get off here. I have to go to our perfume shop and pick up my hubby.
More when I get back from our short but nice get away. :-)

EASTER BUNNY, HOME FROM TEXAS AND READY TO CREATE

PICTURE OF EASTER BUNNY I MADE CHERYL FOR VIVIAN'S EASTER SWAP. GOSH! I JUST LOVE DOING VIVIAN'S SWAPS.

LITTLE BUNNY is sculpted out of paperclay and standing on a decorated round wooden box that I made. I added some goodies to the swap. I added a little pink cloth bunny, bunch of flowers and other goodies. I JUST LOVE SWAPS!!

We had a wonderful fun time in Texas visiting with family and friends. It was busy from the time we arrived until we left. Ken left on Tuesday and I stayed a few more days. Joleen and Natalie (our daughter-in-laws) took me to Hobby Lobby. Didn't get to do much shopping. We didn't have the time. :-( Next visit to the kids will be for relaxing, fun and hitting up all the Hobby Lobbies in town. There's 4 and they are not to far from each other. :-) I was really good this time shopping at Hobby Lobby. I spend only $14.00. YES! I WAS IN SHOCK!!! OH! There were lots of things I wanted but didn't have an empty suitcase. LOL LOL!!! I probably could have bought yet another suitcase. YES, I have several suitcases because I needed them to take stuff home that I bought. SOOOOOOOO!!! I figured I better not buy another one. Next time I will take an empty one with me. :-) Now that would be the smart thing to do. LOL

I am rested up and ready to start some new creations. I have lots dancing around in my head.

I'll start on a new creation tomorrow. Thursday and Friday I am teaching a doll class in my studio.

Here's 5 New Dolls (Elegant Ladies) I have made. They are all cloth. Clothing is new fabrics and vintage fabrics and trims. Hair is needle felted mohair. Faces are hand drawn. Totally hand made my me. :-)

Well, I was hoping to have the New Year start out better but doesn't look like it. We shall see about that. :-) I'll turn it around as soon as I get my Studio in order. I already have a schedule of what I'm creating and the creating time. I know I know, that usually doesn't work but we shall see. :-)

I've also been busy doing this and that. I'm in the middle of cleaning and rearranging my Studio. It's taking me a lot longer than I thought it would. Nothing new there. LOL I have way too much stuff. hehehe! It will be nice when it's finished. I PROMISE MYSELF THAT I WILL CLEAN UP AFTER EACH DAY THAT I CREATE!!! I WILL!!!
I'm organizing myself. :-) I have a good plan and I WILL STICK TO IT!!! X X Yes, those are crossed fingers. :-)

I'm having some computer problems as usual along with some other computer problems that has taken me days(week so far) to get straightened out. Got it under control and hope nothing else happens.

I'll get off my soap box about myself. HEHEHEHE!!! It's upsetting when things happen and takes so long to get them fixed or straightened out. The Internet is great but it does have it's problems and takes time to fix it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!! I know I'm a day late but never got on the computer yesterday. Just stayed at home watching movies with hubby and our cat, Kat. Nice day to stay in PJ's and watch movies.

HOLIDAYS ETC.

WISHING THAT ALL HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. We had a wonderful Christmas. As some of you know my husband and I own a Perfume Shop here in Vegas. During the Christmas Holidays I have to work everyday from Opening to Closing. We are ready for bed as soon as we drag our tired bodies into our house each evening JUST TO GET UP EARLY THE NEXT DAY AND DO THE SAME THING EVERYDAY FOR 9 DAYS IN A ROW. LOL LOL!! I keep telling my husband this is the 9TH CHRISTMAS in a row now. LOL LOL I'm tired I guess. I just want to have one year that we can have a normal Christmas without being so tired. hehehe
I really shouldn't complain, our store is holding it's own. Not like some that have gone under. I really do Pray and count our Blessings.

I do have a few Christmas pictures and I will post them later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR is next. :-) I'm looking forward to a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR in 2010.

MY BOY KAT

THIS IS MY BIG BOY "KAT". He is 8 years old. We have had him since he was 8 months old. He is a BIG cat. (Still growing) He's a sweetheart. Sometimes his eyes are green and sometimes his eyes are orange. In this picture they are green. Picture doesn't capture how pretty his eyes are. On Halloween they were orange. When the door bell rang he would go to the front door to see all the kids dressed up. He would stand or sit and look at them. LOL!! I'm not sure what that is behind him.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING. We did. Our daughter Angela and our grandson Kyle came in for a few weeks. They left yesterday to go home. REALLY DO MISS THEM!!!

Went to our grandson Cain's concert last night. He plays the violin. It was a wonderful concert at his school. I'm so proud of him. :-) WOOOHOOO!! GREAT JOB CAIN!!!! Grandma & Grandpa are PROUD OF YOU!!!

I met my deadline on making 5 dolls. WOOHOO!!! My new camera I got for my birthday came in handy. It really takes wonderful pictures.

I finished the Littest Elf Swap that I was in on Vivian's list. I mailed my Elf to my swap partner a couple of days ago. Amy, Hope you like him. Amy if you are reading this post, please take pictures of him. I FORGOT TO. :-( I thought I did take pictures but with everything going on I must have forgot because there's no pictures of him in my camera. OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I'm BAD!!!! IT SLIPPED MY MIND!!! SORRY!!! Hope Amy sends pictures and I will post them on my blog. I guess I had/have too much on my mind of late. YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! WHAT MIND!!! HEHEHEHEHE!!! I REALLY DO HAVE ONE. HEHEHEHE!!

Now, I need to screw my head on right BECAUSE I have to get to work on new patterns and dolls. I have 2 stockings to make and mail out. Today I will clean my studio SO I can get back to creating. My mind is so full that it's running over. hehehehe! It's PENCIL & PAPER TIME!! MUST CARRY THEM AROUND WITH ME. hehehehe!

Today is a great day so far although I'm still working day and night on a deadline. Got 5 dolls just about finished. I have shoes to make, nails to do and final little touch ups. Thought I would take a small break and jump on the computer for a few minutes. Haven't been checking emails, blogs, lists, etc like I should but I'm swamped in my studio right now.

My daughter Angela and our grandson Kyle will be here Saturday!! WOOOHOO!! I can't wait to see them. They will be here until Dec. 8th. Hopefully some of our other kids and grands will be here for Thanksgiving. We know Brandi, Jason and Cain will be here; they live here. :-)

I am doing a Littest Elf Christmas Swap on Vivian's blog. I'm working on my Elf for my swap partner between working on the 5 dolls. :-) Can't just work on one thing at a time. NOPE!! NOT ME!! and I'm sure that goes for you too. :-0

I better get off here and get back to those dolls. I hear them calling me. LOL

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!

Today is my Birthday!! I LOVE FRIDAY 13th. 13 is a very good number. Nothing scary about 13. I've been working on dolls all day in my studio. Now I have to go clean house before company comes over to watch me blow out all those candles on my cake. Must put the fire dept. on alert. LOL!! YES! There are LOTS & LOTS of candles to blow out. I have blown out all my candles on my past years cakes SOOOOOOOOOO, I will blow all them out tonight!! YES I WILL!! Practice comes in handy. ROFL!!! Fill those lungs up.

POSTING/BIRTHDAY

I haven't posted is awhile. I try to check out a blog or two and some of my doll lists BUT haven't done much of that either. I have been held captive in my studio for weeks. Nice place to be held captive BUT it's VERY MESSY!! Do you know how many body parts I have made????LOTS & LOTS!! And they are all over the studio. I finially got a arm with fingers the way I wanted it. It's for a small doll and those fingers are tough!! Well, at least these were. I have designed lots of hands with fingers but this one just did not want to cooperate UNTIL TODAY!!! I have a deadline to meet by Dec. 1st for 5 dolls and I'm praying and hoping I get these dolls finished by then. Especially after all the work I've been doing. I only have 19 days left. OOOOOOH!! WISH ME LUCK!!!

Our daughter Angela and our grandson Kyle are coming out to spend 3 weeks with us. WOOOHOOO!!! They will be here for Thanksgiving. They will be here to help trim the Christmas Tree. We always put our tree up Thanksgiving Day and then trim it in the evening. I'm really looking forward to their visit. I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!!!

O! and it's by BIRTHDAY on Friday Nov. 13th!!! Nope I wasn't born on Friday 13th. I was born on a Saturday. But I love Friday the 13th and the number 13 is lucky for me. :-) We will have cake and all of my candles plus one to grow on and one for good luck will be on my cake. FIRE DEPT. STAND BY!!! I blow all my candles out at once. WOOOHOO!!! Hope I blow all of them out this year. hehehe!!

Well, got to get back to sewing more arms and tiny finger. Attach the arms to the bodies and then the doll body is together and finished. WOOHOO!!! Can't wait!!! Then I start costuming the dolls. Designing the costumes is my favorite thing to do beside drawing the face.
